The good, the bad, and the pretty...

The bad: Unfortunately, I have had to stop taking orders for the time being until I get caught up on my list. Please know that I am going in order and working hard to get everyone's customs finished. Thank you for being patient! :)

The good: This means that I will have time to sew up several new designs when I do get caught up! At last count I had twelve new designs that I need to sew, and I finally had to face the music that this means allotting even more time than I had anticipated to get them done. I am super excited to work on some of the new fabric that I have!

The pretty: I finished up these two custom sets this morning. I am fascinated with the little ruffles on the tanks for some reason. I can't get enough of them!

Good news! I have 15 yards of the Ava Rose white with pink dots on its way to me so everyone on my list will get their custom. Yay!

I worked hard today and finished a couple of new things.

The skirt I have a pattern for and used the exact fabric that the designer had pictured because I just loved it so much. It reminds me of Room Seven a little bit. Kayla really loves this set. She refuses to take it off.

This dress is my own design - an adaptation of and combination of a couple of patterns. I just love it and this is one of my favorite prints of all time.

The future of Twist of Lime

Oh look at me go - two blog posts in one day! I couldn't resist. I just got a big box of Gorgeous from FedEx.

This is what is coming in the near future from Twist of Lime. I am in love with all of it, especially with Jennifer Paganelli's Flower Power. I have more prints coming in a separate shipment and I can't wait for them to arrive!

Pics of some completed customs

So I got up this morning and finished up odds and ends on these items and managed to stab my finger with a pin - ouch! That's what I get for working while I'm still groggy. Maybe I should take up coffee....

Looks suspiciously like the dress above but one is 18-24 months and one is a size 3
A sweet matching sister set - size 2 and size 12 months
Now, off to sewing....

Hey look, I have a blog!

The first thing you should know about me is that I'm not much of a writer (something you will discover for yourself in about two posts). I'm also not a graphic artist and have never considered myself a blogger. However, the need has arisen for this blog to keep my customers updated on their orders and on what new designs I have in the works.

Tonight I am tired, tired, tired. I sewed for 12 hours yesterday and 4 hours this evening after running around with the kids and James all day.

Oh - the good news! I managed to complete four customs and will post pics tomorrow sometime...

In the meantime, check out my flickr album of my work: http://www.flickr.com/photos/36124281@N03/
